French Creek Summer Sojourn
June 14, 2025 from Cambridge Springs to Saegertown
8am start
We have a great day of French Creek fun planned! Paddlers will start at Cambridge Springs at FCVC’s Cambridge Landing Launch and stop at Karl Gerdon Park in Venango for lunch and an educational program. Following lunch, paddlers will continue to Bertram Park in Saegertown to take out. This is a 10-mile stretch.

Join us for a StoryWalk at Brock’s Lookout featuring “The Secret Stream” by Kimberly Ridley. As you wander along the trail, you’ll discover pages of a beautifully illustrated children’s book mounted along the path, encouraging families and nature lovers of all ages to read, explore, and connect with the French Creek watershed. “The Secret Stream” follows a headwater stream’s journey through the forest to form a river. Told from the stream’s point of view, it introduces young readers to the plants and animals living in and around it.
This StoryWalk will be up from June 16th through August 1st. You can visit the StoryWalk at anytime individually, or you can join us on July 1st for a guided StoryWalk with FCVC staff.
